Review

Sorry I'm just getting around to this, but if your interested here is how we did compared to the committee:  66 of 68 teams.  Better than that guy on ESPN and pretty well any analyst.  Everybody was shocked by the inclusion of UAB and VCU, they were shocked themselves.  As it turns out UAB proved they didn't belong, and VCU, well um, yeah they've done pretty good.  We had discussions on both teams, especially VCU, but in the end Colorado and Virginia Tech were voted ahead of them.  So there you go.  Now on to the seeding.  Since we pretty much have nailed the teams in the tourney the last few years, we have really tried to focus on getting our seeding right.  And this year was the best in terms of matching the committee.  So here is the breakdown:
4 for 4 on 1 seeds and had them in the exact regions as committee
3 for 4 on 2 seeds; missed the one by one seed line
2 for 4 on 3 seeds; missed both by one seed line
3 for 4 on 4 seeds; missed the one by one seed line
4 for 4 on 5 seeds
2 for 4 on 6 seeds; missed one by one seed line and one by three
0 for 4 on 7 seeds; missed three by one seed line and one by four
0 for 4 on 8 seeds; missed three by one seed line and one by two
1 for 4 on 9 seeds; missed one by one, one by two, and one by three
1 for 4 on 10 seeds; missed two by one seed line and one by two
1 for 5 on 11 seeds; missed one by three seed line one by one and one not in
2 for 5 on 12 seeds; missed one by one seed line two by two and one not in
4 for 4 on 13 seeds
4 for 4 on 14 seeds
4 for 4 on 15 seeds
6 for 6 on 16 seeds
Had both 16 seed play in games matched correctly along with:  Ohio St. vs UTSA/Alabama St., San Diego St. vs N. Colorado and Purdue vs St. Peter's.  Also had Wisconsin and Kansas St. matched up for their 2nd round game as well as UK/West Virginia, and Texas/Arizona.
Not bad huh.
